Fernando Alonso Messed Up.

Fernando Alonso made the decision to leave Ferrari and join McLaren.  What a mistake.  Alonso left Ferrari because the car was simply too slow, with the new changes to the engine (dropping from V8 to V6 Turbos).  McLaren once again partnered up with Honda (strong leaders in turbo technology) and this undoubtedly fueled Alonso’s decision to join.  But simply put this was a mistake, as the McLaren care, like any new car, is causing more issues than he ever had at Ferrari.

Sebastian Vettel’s move to Ferrari has brought them their first win in over a years worth of racing.  And surely that has thrown Alonso for a grand loop.  The McLaren team is in quite an embarrassing position so far in the season.  Alonso has been unlucky in the past few seasons not to win, consistently being voted the “racer’s champion”.  He has been second more times than first at the end of seasons.  So he is surely running out of time and is hungry for more championship titles.  But simply put this move was dumb.  Not to mention he has a clause in his contract to leave the team if they do not win this season, which they will not.  So what will he do and what does he have to say?  He surely has to be kicking himself for this one.
